Today is the official start of my Sabbatical Year and I am checked in at YVR waiting for the Westjet flight to Puerto Vahalla at 7.10am. From there I get the bus north to a little village on the coast called Sayulita. This is supposed to be the safest place in Mexico.
I am booked for five weeks at Casa Juanita, the first half in the 2nd floor apartment, and the last half on th top floor with the rooftop deck, when Sue will join me for 10 days. More when I get there. The plan is to enjoy the sun and maybe even learn to surf. Stay tuned for progress reports.
For my tech-head friends, I got a ASUS Zenbook to travel with, it weighs nothing, the battery lasts forever and it really does start instantly when you open the lid.

Don't forget to take the beer cooler with you surfing! :-)
Sounds amazing! Happy safe travels! Looking forward to reading more!
Have an amazing time! I've already stolen or rather, borrowed your chair for visitors ;-)
All the best on your journey, remember Tequila and surfing don't mix.
... but beer and surfing definitely do mix!
That's my boy - beer and surfing DEFINITELY mix!
